Our Mission
In a world that can feel broken, our simple calling is to show love to our neighbors. At Mission Bithlo United, we come together as a community of believers to serve those in need — living out Jesus’ call to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13–16).
We’re intentionally answering the call to step out of the walls of the church and into the streets. We like to say we are “a church outside the church”: the neighborhoods around Bithlo are our mission field. We walk alongside people who are experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, or the struggles that come with addiction, offering practical help and steady compassion.
What we do
We meet immediate needs with dignity and care. That includes:
Hot meals and food support
Bottled water and basic supplies
Clothing, shoes, blankets, and hygiene kits
Referrals to shelter and local services
A listening ear, prayer, and the message of Jesus — always shared with love
How we serve
Our work is volunteer-driven and done in partnership with churches, local organizations, and caring neighbors across Central Florida. We operate with respect and without judgment, our priority is to restore hope, provide essentials, and build relationships that point people toward long-term help and healing.
Our faith and hope
As followers of Christ, everything we do is rooted in prayer and compassion. We share the gospel and pray for one another, trusting the Holy Spirit to bring transformation, both in the lives we serve and in our own hearts as we serve.
