Get Involved!

As followers of Christ, we are called to love and serve those around us. Many in our community are struggling, and together we have the opportunity to make a lasting difference. Scripture reminds us in James 2:14–17 that faith without action is dead — our love must be lived out through meeting both spiritual and physical needs.

At Mission Bithlo United, we believe service is an act of worship. Whether through volunteering, giving, or using your God-given talents, you can join us in bringing hope and compassion to our neighbors. As Galatians 6:2 says, ‘Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.’ Let us answer this call by serving with open hands and open hearts, so that through us, others may see the love of Jesus.

  • Come serve with us! We’re looking for helping hands to share food, clothes, and care with our neighbors. Sometimes it’s as simple as offering a smile, a prayer, or a listening ear. If you’re ready to make a difference and show the love of Christ in action, reach out to learn how you can get involved. Together, we can bring real hope to Bithlo.

    Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, we prepare meals together in our neighborhood church lot at 12.00 pm and head out to serve. We visit communities in Bithlo—just 15 minutes from church—where we bring not only food and essentials, but also kindness, conversation, and prayer. If you’ve ever wondered how to serve more tangibly, this is a meaningful way to do so.

    We take every measure to keep things safe, local, and guided—and always go out in groups. You don’t need a map—just a willing heart. Interested in serving with us?

  • Can’t volunteer right now? No worries! Your donations make a huge difference. Every little bit helps us share food, clothes, and hope with our neighbors. Thank you for being part of this mission and helping us love our community well.

    We gratefully accept new or gently used items!

    To make sure your donation is most impactful, here´s a list of the most-needed items to ensure donations are helpful and immediately usable:

    Most Useful:

    • Adult-size socks

    • Blankets

    • Casual pants & shirts (men & women)

    • Tennis shoes / walking shoes

    • Hoodies or jackets

    • Hygiene items (toothpaste, wipes,

    • deodorant)

    What we cant use:

    • Dress clothes or high heels

    • Formal wear

    • Used undergarments

    • Damaged, broken, or stained items

  • We know not everyone can volunteer or give right now — and that’s okay! You can still make a big impact by praying for our mission and for the families we serve. Another great way to help is by spreading the word — share our story on social media, or tell your friends and family about what we’re doing.
