Helping Our Neighbors Find Shelter
Our community is currently raising funds to provide tents for individuals experiencing homelessness in the Bithlo area of Orlando. Many people here are living in wooded areas and hidden camps without even the most basic form of shelter.
As Florida moves from the colder months into extreme heat, humidity, and heavy rain, living outside becomes even more dangerous. Without protection from the elements, people are exposed to intense sun, storms, and flooding conditions.
What These Photos Show
The photos on this page show real living conditions in some of the camps located in the Bithlo area.
Many shelters are made from tarps, blankets, scrap wood, and found materials tied to trees. These makeshift structures often collapse in storms or become soaked during heavy rain.
Belongings like clothing, blankets, and personal items are frequently damaged by weather, dirt, and pests. Rats and other animals are common in these areas because food and trash are difficult to store safely without proper shelter.
People living here are doing their best to survive and create some form of protection, but without proper tents it is incredibly difficult.
Our Goal
Our goal is to raise funds to purchase and distribute tents directly to people living in these conditions in Bithlo. Even a small donation helps us move closer to giving someone a safe place to sleep.

A tent will never replace a real home. But it can provide something incredibly important right now: basic protection and dignity.
